Walk in the Black Forest

Walking up a steep hill from Freiburg to a village called Horben I overtook a mountain biker struggling with the steepness of the slope. It wasnt a competition but I was trying hard to keep ahead...until the slope flattened and he could then shoot past me which he did with a passing wave of recognition that we had in fact been competing.
