Pavilioned in splendour

The temperature climbed to 32 degrees here today. We really did feel as if we were abroad on our summer holidays!
Our plan to watch the Grand Prix with our Gloucestershire grandchildren was pinged off the agenda. Hey ho it’s going to be that kind of “a living with Covid” sumner I guess?
For two pathetic hours this morning Boris tried to justify not having to isolate despite being in pinging range of his new health secretary who now has Covid. By 1100 Boris caved in and will now spend his so called Freedom Day tomorrow in splendid isolation thanks to Track and Trace.

We enjoyed the Regency delights of Montpellier (Cheltenham) today spent mostly in the shade of ancient beech trees planted here when the Prince Regent was on the throne.
