Harelock- apparently

We were planning to take Doreen out. The hot weather put her off. She decided to stay at home rather than make the painful effort to leave the house. Which gave us an unexpected day to ourselves.

Rather too hot to do much, especially as I’m not yet 100%. We had a short walk this morning to the allotment to recruit some volunteers to help distribute some campaign leaflets next week. Successful too.

It was while on the way home I spotted this harelock - a variety of burdock. I’m not sure if it is just burdock!

A long lunch under the parasol, even too hot outside so eventually came in and faffed for a while. Susan went for a cup of tea with her mum and came back to collect a dinner for her.

We had dinner outside as the air cooled then spoke to Chris and Landon in California. Thanks for all your lovely comments about Matt’s achievement yesterday.
