Cyclops
Languid start to the day, up at 5.30 to let Hollie out and sit quietly on the patio for a while, before going back to bed.. Up at 09.30 and make tea and biscuits and head back to bed. Eventually surfaced, left Mrs I in bed and took a large bag of garden cuttings to the recycling centre. Went to the local nursery for two large bags of compost and back home. Together Mrs I and I clipped Hollie's coat as she has started to resemble a beatnik, and now she looks svelt. We are trying to get her to use a childs inflatable paddling pool in this heat but she seems very tentative. She loves swimming and I am confident she will take to it soon.
Rescued a beautiful butterfly from a spider nest (sorry spider, try again) and saw a grasshopper in my garden. First time ever.
Had a happy time with the macro lens and decided to blip these two images of a succulent which has gone berserk. It has gone from 3cm in height a year ago to 30cm now. A spectacular growth rate. Almost as notable as the interest rate on my meagre savings (!) Sempervivum tectorum. When all the buds have flowered it will look like a firework display. Future blip hopefully.
