Blessings Abound!

It was a busy morning at FBC,  Our mixed ensemble, Jubilate, kicked things off with a lively call to worship, "The Solid Rock".  That was followed by a presentation from the Gideons about their important work of spreading the gospel through placing Bibles and also by handing them out to people and sharing with them.  After the congregation joined together in some praise and worship, Jubilate began to set the mood for the message and observance of the Lord's Supper with a beautiful song that is a new one for us this year, "I Am Not Alone".  The song reminds us of God's constant presence and care in the life of the Christ-follower, regardless of the circumstances we find ourselves in.  Then, Brother David spoke to us about three reasons we celebrate Communion.  We celebrate it to obey Christ, to remember His death and to proclaim His death and atonement for our sin until He returns.  At the end of the service, we prayed over the Vacation Bible School workers who will be very busy this week sharing the love of Jesus with many children.  Do you know a child who needs to hear about the love of Jesus? There is always room for one more.........
