Akay Woods

Another sunny day and friend R came to lunch. We went for a walk, but as neither of us like it too hot, we explored Akay Woods. This is the site of Akay Manor, a place that has almost entirely disappeared. My blip shows friend R through what I call ‘the stargate’. That and some mosaic flooring found amongst the tree roots is all that remains. It just shows how temporary our impact is - this building has disappeared in less than 100 years. After our walk we returned home for some home grown raspberries and strawberries with ice cream. Yum.
