Edinburgh Universities against their Newcastle counterparts.

A win would give Edinburgh the league title - Division 1 (North) in the British Universities competition. They won 6-4.

My son is on the far left, in orange. He played well. 100% commitment, which is what he gives everything except his studies.

Very pleased for him. This time last year we were wondering if he'd ever play again. He got a blood clot in his brain in the summer of 2011. Then he had 6 months on anticoagulants - so no contact sport. After that came tests to try to find the cause.

Fortunately a positive outcome - no damage and no ongoing medication.

The bad news - his team now goes on to a playoff weekend in Sheffield next month; top 2 teams from the north & south divisions. I'm in Germany that weekend.
