Terrible news came in

Today, in the Netherlands, the news came in that the famous dutch crime journalist Peter R. de Vries died after he'd been shot on Tuesday July 6th in Amsterdam.
Terrible news, and just like in the rest of the Netherlands, this news came in hard. I didn't know the man, always thought he was a bit arrogant and cocky, but this he didn't deserve. He's done a lot of good things for cold cases and so on. Somehow this news put a grey haze over our day. It just isn't right he's gone.
