Koto Musicians

The Masazumi Kai Koto Ensemble played enchanting Japanese songs at the 11th Annual Friends of Taka Sumi-e Show in Balboa Park.
There are 13 strings on this instrument and the "bridge" supports can be moved up or down underneath the string whenever a new song to be played has a different musical key. Sort of like turning the string key at the top of a guitar to change the pitch of the string.
