18th hole

Monday is the regular 'Seniors' stableford tournament.  19 of us had entered today and I played with Tony (who was my Boss for a couple of years in the early 90s) and someone I hadn't met before called Gavin.  The group behind us had Graham (who worked in the same company as me between the mid 80s and the mid 00s), my good friend and regular golfing partner Bunny and a guy called Andy.

I had to check with Tony that this Andy was the same Andy as I thought it might have been and Tony confirmed it was.  I greeted him and he said he hadn't seen me since I had invited him and his wife over to dinner circa 1992.  I was slightly worried that it was my cooking which had put him off returning the favour, but fortunately this wasn't the case.

I had a good round today and came joint first.  This means that my handicap has been slashed by FIVE shots which means that if I play the same round that I played today, I would score 39 points rather than 44.  I felt this was harsh, but Bunny thought I should have been on a lower handicap to begin with and called me a bandit
