Green veined butterfly

This little butterfly has the verbena on its circuit of the neighbouring gardens and I managed to catch it this morning when I was showing a visiting friend round the garden. I love seeing people's faces when they see the tall alliums for the first time! 
Far too hot for me, thank goodness for my new meaco fan which is almost silent and has a carry handle making it easy to move from room to room. I bought it last week on a friend's recommendation which proved very timely.
