Bother!

After some very careful and fraught cutting away at the concrete-hard putty around the glass panel in the ex-bathroom, and some delicate nudging, the glass was almost out when there was a loud 'crack'.

And some unvoiced, and voiced, commentary.

I'm more bothered by the failure of the physical challenge than the loss of the 'artwork'.  Yes it was part of the 90's history of the house, but it did look like it was filled in with marker pen by a 10-year-old.

(Here the two parts are laid together.  Not wholly sure what to do with it now.  'Leave it in the basement for the next owners' is high on the list.)

That said, the breaking indicates it wasn't toughened as H&S requirements really warrant for a room door, so that's another problem out of the way.
