Io Moth Caterpillar

This is the caterpillar of the io moth. The moth is quite large and lovely, the caterpillar is very stingy. The Husband found it on the road and after its photoshoot his intention was to pick it up - in his hand - and move it. I said "NO NO NO! I have a standing rule that you DON'T pick up a caterpillar with spines on it because most/many of them STING." He didn't believe me, but he let me pick it up using two leaves (worked very well). I just now read him what it says about the painful sting of the io moth caterpillar. He says "Well. I don't know if I believe it. If we find another one, I'm going to pick it up." I will thoroughly enjoy saying "I told you so" if he does. Is that wrong of me??
