Shamrock Shake
Happy St. Patrick's Day! Auntie came over yesterday and spent the night with us. I fixed a nice dinner so that enticed our son to join us. We all watched the movie Skyfall and caught up with the latest adventures of Bond, James Bond. We liked the movie and Judi Dench is such a class act. I read that she is losing her eyesight. Such a shame.
Then the boys were able to watch the rest of the Trailblazer basketball game that was on TV and then after David left to go home and Bill went to bed, Joan (auntie) and I watched The Help. She'd read the book, finally, and had never seen the movie. So, I got that for her special treat. Then today we visited a lot, talked genealogy and family history and the puzzlements of what our ancestors did or didn't do, had a bit to eat and then Bill came home. He is working at that little nursery and it seems so strange now on Sundays not to have him here. We took Joan home and now we can settle in. The weather wasn't as awful this weekend as I thought it would be, but it is now rather dark and dreary outside, at almost 6 at night. Oh, and on Saturday Joan and I went to Costco (a big warehouse discount store). Bill and I gave up our membership, so I haven't been there for maybe two years or more, so it was fun to go back. It's rather like going to Disneyland! Joan bought a few things and then we exited the premises and going through the checkout line is a bit similar to being in a cattle chute at the meat packing place. They funnel you into the line and hurry you through the process so much that it freaks out my almost 84 year old aunt.
I should have taken a picture of Joan yesterday, she looked so cute! She got her hair cut and lightened, and it looked a lot like Judi Dench's hairdo....Very attractive on her.
Okay, enough of that. Hope you had a good weekend. See ya later.
