Very Baby Squirrel

This is either Bonnie or Clyde. TreeGuy brought home another pair of squirrel babies that were left homeless when their tree was cut down. Word is out among the tree crews, and they know to bring him dispossessed creatures. This little thing is just a couple weeks old, but it's muzzle and eyelids are already beginning to turn brown. I am enchanted by its long narrow fingers; it just misses having a real thumb.

They live in a snug little box, and are fed very frequently via an eye dropper. They are still barely here, however; you can see the outline of their skeletons when they stretch out. And oh yes, they are very soft.
