A light cloudburst

That was a storm the like of which I’ve not seen for a very long time. It snook up from nowhere and lashed us for a couple of hours with torrential rain, some hail and constant lightning and thunder.

I saw a storm to the north west coming our way and another storm to the east. I was expecting the one from the north west to hit us but it was the one to the east that did the dirty on us taking a different track. My reputation as a meteorologist in tatters.

There was so much water I had to disconnect the pipe to the pond as there was a danger of it overflowing. Around the town many roads are flooded and our neighbour had to sweep 4” of water from her garage.
