Squabbling Starlings
Not too good a picture as it was taken through the conservatory window and has reflections in it.
This is what we get every morning when Paula puts the food out they can be quite entertaining whilst having breakfast. There must be 30 or more juvenile starlings in the garden at a time. We have our own "Murmuration" They go through 5 fat balls one cocoanut and a load of seed and mealworms as well as wholemeal bread crumbs from loaves specially bought for them, all gone by lunchtime. The poor pigeons don't get a look in these days except for the peanuts put on the other table for them.
The other hanging feeders are for the buntings, sparrows and the tits.
Robin makes an entrance later when it's quiet for his extra treats as do the Blackbirds. We have a little rat also pays a visit most days, not for long but for a few bits of seed that are put on the ground for the blackbirds who are mainly ground feeders
Today we had a visit from a young squirrel, unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me and knew if I stood up he would go, I will make sure I have it tomorrow.
Another hot day, but a breeze in the afternoon that was pleasant.
