Storm's a Comin'

What a difference a day makes! 

Yesterday was hot, hazy and smoky. Today the dark storm clouds moved in, several thunder storms blew through with heavy rain and then we had an interlude of blue skies and sunshine - real sunshine - not just an orange ball in the haze !! And just as our hopes were rising, in blew gusty winds, clouds and the cold. The north wind is still blowing hard out there tonight and it feels like September. The thought of lighting the fireplace did cross our minds, but we restrained ourselves and just put on some warmer clothes. Surely it will be summer again by tomorrow? 

The weird weather did not alter the usual activity level around here. I did diddley-squat and my daughter and son-in -law spent the day in town walking, biking and shopping and then came back to the cottage and spent the rest of their day working on chores and media technical challenges, interspersed with rigging the sailboat and testing it against those gusty winds, and booking accommodation for an upcoming vacation. And it is me, at the end of the day, who is tired?
 
I didn't want this blip to be just gloomy thunderclouds, so have included two "cute or not-so-cute animal" blips to balance things out.
