I walked along the bank for another look to see if the Purple Hairstreaks are out, but there was still no activity on the oak tree that I usually see them on.  Still, there were plenty of other butterflies: Small Skipper (pictured), Small Heath, Ringlet, Meadow Brown, Small Copper, Gatekeeper and Holly Blue.

Later, I headed up to Ben Rhydding to watch another pre-season friendly: Ilkley Town v Harrogate Railway. It finished 2-1 to Railway after a fairly even game. 

One more day at work and then a bit of a summer break.
