Spring Loaded
I can get pretty giddy this time of year, as spring is right around the corner; and whilst some would say it's already here, there's a nip in the air and a chill in the shade that says otherwise.
Once winter's finally out of the way, one of the main reasons I'm living here and not in England becomes evident.
Several months of consistently warm and pleasant weather is the norm, which slowly rolls into a very hot summer (admittedly unbearable at times) plus a month of epic summer storms. The stifling heat of the rainy season eventually winds down though as things get autumnul, with several more months of mellow weather and sunny days - before winter finally rears its ugly head once more.
"It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade."
