Portobello Beach Edinburgh Day 201

Hunan trap - this hole was as deep as a grave and would be an unwelcome surprise to the unsuspecting especially if they were strolling onto the beach after a night celebrating St Patrick or drowning sorrows for broken Hearts after narrowly losing to St Mirren.

The easterly wind is whipping up the waves and could be quite lively at high tide at 1857 hrs. The visibility is very poor. Inchkeith , Cockenzie and the eight tankers sheltering from the imminent storm are all lost in the morning murk.
