Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

2021 Monday — Movie Night

We’ve had a good day with Tristan. After a slow relaxed morning and a late breakfast of French toast, we took a short drive to Tidelands Park in Morro Bay so that we could walk the pups and so Tristan could see all the water activity in the harbor.

When Tristan is at home in San Diego, he has a kayak that is equipped for fishing. So he is familiar with kayaking and with fishing.

On the way back to the house, we stopped and bought everything we needed to barbecue burgers. Because we had had a late breakfast and no lunch, we started preparing dinner very early and that gave us a long leisurely evening.

When the sun had set and our front room was getting dark, Tristan asked if we could watch a movie. Grandpa and Tristan had talked about movies and concerts al throughout the day. He really likes Beatles music and we have several of their concerts on DVDs.

This has been an interesting and good day as we all transition and adjust to our new living arrangement — Tristan is in a house that is new to him and with great-grandparents that he doesn’t hangout with very often. We’re adjusting to an extra person in our space (and he has a brand new fresh summer head cold — ugh!), and the two pups are learning to manage without the one item of furniture that they think is their’s: the small sleeper sofa that makes into a single bed. Tristan sleeps on it at night and during the day much of his stuff is piled on it. The pups do not like our two of our living room chairs because they swivel and rock. Much to my dislike, Mr. Fun sits is a chaise-lounge patio-furniture chair (that was suppose to be “make-do” until the living room furniture was purchased), and the pups hate that chair because it leans back and they don’t like the movement.

That’s our Monday in Cayucos,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
and Chloe & Mitzi too!
and great-grandson Tristan
