Crop damage

As Sam was dancing around the garden in the rain yesterday afternoon I was oblivious to the fact that parts of very many houses in the village were underwater and have suffered considerable damage.  It seems our ancient Victorian drainage/sewerage system is not fit for purpose and there is so much new development going on that the water has nowhere to go.  

I do hope the weather (and much documentary evidence of the effect on Linton homes) will cause a re-think and some more investment in the infrastructure.

I saw the devastating effect the rain had on the crops this morning too, with significant portions of the fields flattened.
