Female of the species

We get all sorts in our garden these days. When I opened the living room at lunchtime there was a pair of rather soggy female pheasants outside on the patio so I hastily shut the dogs in the hall and grabbed a few pictures of the birds before they disappeared off, this being the only one that came out in focus. As I type I can see they are on their way back up the garden again so they are obviously quite partial to the bird food I recently acquired from Petersfield Market.
