Nutria Pup and Red Darter

Riding my bike along a drainage canal I noticed a red darter dragonfly cruising along beside me.
I stopped when I noticed a cute little nutria pup lazily swimming in the warm sunshine.
My snapshot serendipitously captured both critters.
Such a lovely mid-summer dream of a day.
