Son of M back home today after spending 5 days with a mate's new rented (& air conditioned) flat in Canary Wharf (above); apparently in the tallest residential building in Europe. His friends a very nice guy & been doing very well running a business whilst at school with son and done very well to get a job / sponsored degree with Lloyds of London. They went to a nightclub complex (I think) of 2 night clubs under the archways of Vauxhall bridge called "Fire" & "Lightbox" - twice, and met up with friends. House and Dark Techno music, looking on the web. 

Covid high risk of course, but they're 18 and been in shackles for 18 months. I'm impressed they both took Lateral Flow tests yesterday (negative). We'll all be taking them daily now he's back and we all wore masks and had all the windows open on the way back from the station (1hr 20 mins from London). A whole new experience for him, but his feet are still on the ground. I'll certainly take extra care with others over the next couple of weeks (am x2 jabbed and had covid before) so hopefully ok. My wife's an asthmatic, so of more concern to me.
