Haar
More haar here again in Pittenweem and pretty far inland too, I believe.
We had an early rise this morning. 6.30am is the middle of the night for me. Hannah and Geordie were all bright and breezy, so I had no choice but to get the breakfast ready. Suzy arrived at 8.30 to pick up Hannah, so I went back to bed for a couple of hours.
Later we walked down to visit Mitch, a friend at the other end of the village. We sat in his garden for a while. It was warm and airless. It feels like we need some thunder and torrential rain. Mitch sent Geordie to chase of a big gull in the garden, then gave him a treat. So Geordie obviously realised he was onto a good thing. Every time a bird arrived at the feeders Geordie sent it flying off then came back expecting a treat.
After that we walked home by the harbour and the shore. Geordie almost stalked our postie, Joan. She had already given him three biscuits when she came with our post earlier, but we seemed to be following her around town and every time we caught up he hoped for, and got, another treat. I think I will need to take all these treats into consideration when I give him his tea.
