Lavender at Ham House
Cycled to Ham House along the towpath which was quite cool as shaded most of the way. We were surprised at how high the tide was and also how many people were swimming in the river Thames. On the way back lots of teenagers were jumping from the Teddington Lock bridges, some very near motor boats about to go through the lock……it looked like an accident waiting to happen..
The two community police officers keeping watch said they could not do anything?
Because of the heat I guess Ham House was the quietest I have ever seen it, and you don’t have to book any more. The lavender is fully out and had so many bees feeding on it, there was a gentle buzz. Also many butterflies on the lavender and all the box hedges and bushes were looking very green and without damage
