Warwick.
We had to take LooseCanon’s car for its service in Warwick today so walked into the town to find some lunch. We found a shady table at the Tilted Wig and afterwards a lovely little Italian cafe for gelati and espresso coffee.
Apart from being ridiculously hot it was lovely looking around. There are lots of interesting buildings among them the Lord Leycester hospital. Not a hospital but a residential refuge for older men they call Brethren. To qualify for a place there I think you have to have some connection with the military some connection with Warwickshire and to be a Practising Christian. And male.
It’s a beautiful building ( in the extra) but I and others have blipped it before so I’ve chosen a photo of a man who was sitting opposite doing a watercolour painting of the place. He was from near Liverpool and teaches painting but has been unable to travel so is just going around the country finding places to paint.
