Schachtelmännchen

 I was walking around in the city center of Kaiserslautern today and came across this sculpture of the Schachtelmännchen, the "box man", an old Kaiserslautern original. Apparently he was a peddler, carrying around boxes over his shoulder (fastened on a rope) and was moving about all over Kaiserslautern (unwashed and unkempt).

I wonder what he would think of the newest box around his neck (the sound was nice).
