Roadmap Out Of Lockdown Step 4 - Day 4

Meadow Brown?

Each day I think tomorrow has to be a calmer day. Wrong! Crazy morning dealing with visits from the chiropodist, district nurse, falls alarm installation bod, different neighbours delivering newspaper and shopping, and trying and failing to send photos to GP re allergic reaction to meds, hampered by no internet! (Have lost count of how many times I’ve rebooted modem today.) At one point, we had the bod setting up the falls alarm, the district nurse doing her thing, the GP on the phone and a neighbour at the door! There was one good part to the morning though, a delivery of 15 bottles of wine from my brother!

By the time everyone had left it was 2pm, was on my knees and too hot (31, with humidity felt 35) to go out for my planned walk. Thank goodness today is the last day carrying an Extreme Heat Amber weather warning, though tomorrow’s not much cooler. Even the roads are melting round here! So today a little flutterby in the garden, possibly a Meadow Brown? Right, time to open one of those 15 bottles!
