Lily the pink 2021

I have had more success with my pink lilies this year than I did in 2020. First, I have two blooms. Second, they are coming out in July rather than October. This one smells wonderful.

After my walk this morning, I continued research assessment work (a meeting, emails, some assessing), wrote a blog post about recent role changes and a lecturer vacancy in my group, then attended a meeting of the UK Electronic Information Group (details will be blogged tomorrow).

Just before lunch, we learnt some gossip about our ex-neighbours from a completely unexpected source. I'm not sure what is more interesting about this: the gossip itself, or the way in which we heard it.

Exercise today: walking (8,631 steps).
