The Park

Took the boys to the park this morning - they need to burn off some energy and get sleeping in the evening.  They spent 2 hours playing in the sand and generally having a really lovely time.  Annoyingly, the husband and I didn't clock the two toys that were taken to the park were then taken upstairs once home - and into our bed! I had washed them, but there was still lots of sand in them it appears! 

We had a family trip to the hospital this afternoon, which is hardly the most fun, especially with a half hour sat stationary in a traffic jam on the way back (of course, the second we started moving, the (predictable) cry from the back was 'I need a wee').  The trip turned out to be an MRSA swab, which took 10 minutes, another trip in just over a week for a COVID test, which has to be done at the hospital, apparently. 

Today I'm grateful for: 
Happy boys playing in sand and water 
Talking to a lovely lady in the hospital coffee shop who hadn't been out since the start of the pandemic
First week of the holiday almost done - where has that gone!
