Raindrops on..... Broccoli!
This morning was dull again and when I went down to Granton this morning the haar was making things quite cold. It took until after 2pm really, to warm up properly, over 20° I dropped off a couple of ferns at the rectory this morning then headed to Morrisons to pick up my order for our church barbecue. Not for a couple of weeks yet but the butcher gave me the heads up that their burgers and sausages were half price this week and freezable.
From there I came home and got on with making my second kg of blackcurrants onto jelly. The first is bottled, labelled and in the cupboard and the third is dripping overnight. As well as those from Craigie's, I've had almost a kg from my own two wee bushes this year which is exceptional. Plenty more to pick too. We did a clear out and cull of the preserves cupboard too. Not too many things left from 2019 now, lol.
Thursday today so zoom evening prayer, I led as Stephen didn't get there. It's a nice quiet reflective time in the midst of all the busyness
We opted for a takeaway for dinner again, no excuse but laziness, but we did eat it in the garden.
Today's blip is of the broccoli plant Joan gave me as part of my birthday present, it's doing well in the large pot I put it into. I liked the sparkling reflective raindrop.
Keep safe everyone, numbers are dropping, albeit slowly.
