Scarlet Elf Cap

Had a lovely lunch with friends today. Great to catch up on news and just chat. We had a quick look at the boats by the canal then went for a walk. In the woods we saw this spectacular fungi. I think it is Scarlet Elf Cap, but it seems there is another one called Ruby Elf Cap that is very similar. It looked very colourful in the rather lifeless woods.
