We're Going on a Bear Hunt!
Brammle and I went up to the woods again. The snow was so deep that it was hard to walk in places. Some way into our walk I realised I had lost Doggo's lead, but I couldn't bear to retrace my steps and carried on. It was such hard going with the drifts hiding fallen branches and dips in the ground that I decided to make for the gate near the road. It would make for an easier walk home and I could use my belt as a make shift lead. When we finally got there it was padlocked shut and although I could climb over there was no way to get Brammle to the other side. With a deep breath we turned round and began retracing our steps. If you know the children's book 'We're Going On a Bear Hunt' then that's exactly how our walk felt - 'we can't go over it, we can't go under it, oh no! We've got to go through it! I did find Brammle's lead - right at the beginning of our walk when I had hunkered down by him to take his lead off!
