The best part of the day for me was the morning when the sun was nowhere to be seen and the temperature remained at about 18° while I was out shopping and walking.

Since lunchtime the sun has appeared, the temperature has risen and while watching the opening ceremony for the Olympic Games I’ve had the fan on constantly.

The garden is getting more and more like the Sahara Desert ….. another job for the sprinkler tonight. I’m sure there will be a hosepipe ban soon if we don’t have some rainfall.
