Action Shots
I wanted this afternoon to test out my new camera's versatility in action shots. This was easy to do as all needed to do was to call Megan in for a treat and she would come racing towards me. Auto-focussing on an object that is accelerating towards you is probably the hardest task that you can ask a camera to do. As I was shooting at the maximum burst speed of 24 frames a second I had plenty of frames to choose from and nearly all of them were pin sharp.
I particularly like the images where the dogs ears are all over the place counterbalanced by a long floppy tongue. However, it is important that the eyes are not closed as they frequently were so it is perhaps as well that I had plenty of choice.
