Fully Open

Last week, I failed to get a shot of one of these with its wings wide open.

I therefore went back to Carlingnose Point Nature Reserve this afternoon and captured images of two separate dark-green fritillaries with fully open wings (the second is in the 'extras').

It was quite a bit cooler today so the butterflies were less inclined to fly far.
