Corn's a grownin'

This is a picture of my walkway garden. The flowers in the foreground are all volunteers, borage, poppies, St. John's wort, calendula (the sun from this morning pretty much washed them out but they really are pretty) and on the fence on the left, if you look hard enough,  the morning glory from yesterday's blip. The corn on the left is growing in our winter chicken coop and because it's not quite enough I also planted a small plot on the right. I went too many years without good sweet corn and I have to say the past three years haven't disappointed me.
The extra is a poppy that just opened this morning. This is not a volunteer but from seeds that a friend gave me. The frilliness is so lovely!
