Cairn O Mount

The road across the Cairn O Mount is an ancient hill pass crossing from Fettercairn to lower Deeside at Banchory. The Romans built a road here but nowadays it’s a lovely scenic road reaching 1500ft. It’s a popular climb on a bike and today I pedalled up the “ easy” side ( from the North) with a couple of pals who coaxed me up. I was very pleased to get up without stopping or pushing but will need a day or 2 to recover.
