Up to Sheffield; sub-3 hour trip and to Solly Street, the HQ of the Geographical Association. A cuppa and chat with former colleagues, and started to look through some of the archival materials to help with research for a project I'm involved in. This was followed by a meeting about a project to bring some of the GA's 10 000 lantern slides out into the open.
Lunch, then another long meeting with colleagues. Checked into my hotel. Out into Sheffield and a wander - still very hot - then ended up at Cafe Cubana for tapas and live music. Ended the evening in Kelham Island, at a pub I've been visiting for over 40 years...
