Silver soldering.

Silver soldering as opposed to soft soldering. Soft solder used lead and a much weaker joint is achieved. Silver solder is used for jewellery and jewellery repairs.
I have replaced the toggle on the end of this bracelet. I had the silver so I made the toggle myself (it was easy) rather than buy one.
The extra shows before I started, result after attaching the toggle to the bracelet but before polishing. It is tricky to solder the ring that attaches the toggle because it is important that the toggle and the chain don't get too hot but the ring gets red hot.
Anyway mission accomplished. The most tedious bit is the polishing when it is all finished.
