A Dusting Of Pollen

......... a nice stroll over the fields where the thistles are taller than me!!
Thankfully I didn’t have to attempt to walk through them but it took me absolutely ages to walk along the edge because there were so many butterflies about - I saw Common Blues, Brimstones, Small Skippers, Peacocks, Commas, Whites Large, Small and Green Veined, Gatekeepers and lots of Meadow Browns .......... I’m so relieved to see more butterflies as there’s really not that many in the garden but the shortage of insects in general was really obvious and very worrying.
Anyway, this bee was very busy doing his bit to spread the pollen around ........ he was absolutely loving the thistles ;-))

I’m struggling to keep up with comments because my energy levels are still really low and my jobs seem to take 10 times longer to get done but I will try to catch up a bit very soon ;-)
