Peacock butterfly

We certainly had some rain and wind last night just as we were going to bed.  This morning its much cooler and fairly cloudy.  I spent an hour continuing to weed the allotment its so much easier when the soil is wet.  The sun also came out and we ended up having a much brighter day than forecast.

This afternoon I decided to pick up some eggs from a local farm and then go for a quick walk along the coastal path to find a blip.  They tend to leave a fairly large area of the farmland adjacent to the pathway for wild flowers but a lot of this has recently been trimmed, although the margins of the fields are still uncut.  I did however spot a number of different butterflies including this peacock one flitting around in the sun.
