Everlasting Pea

I planted these perennial sweet peas in The Mate's garden a few years ago and I sometimes manage to plant some of the sweet smelling annuals as well. Last Thursday we looked at the buds forming. He said they'd flower while I was away and, sure enough, they did.

He was running one of his cabinet-making courses so I got a bit of gardening done there today before he got home. He always offers me a bunch of sweet peas to take home but, as there weren't yet many in flower I just picked these three. I'll probably get offered some more another time because it is good to pick them, it encourages more flowers.
