Lovely day.
Scorching again so our usual lunch at Longniddry Bents 3 then parked in Aberlady and walked to Gullane Point. Blue blue skies
Lions game on at 5 so abandoned the boys and took R back up to Gladhouse to cool off and I did what I thought I would never do... swam across to the island and back and nearly round the island too. It was just beautiful and so strange to swim in water that didn’t taste of the sea or chlorine.
Counted a hundred and thirteen cars but didn’t feel too busy, lots of families just having fun... why didn’t I think to bring an inflatable?
The water was shallower than I thought. Clear water, no frogs and no fish nearby so felt very safe! Loved it. Me? In water? In Scotland!! It’s been a long time
