In a stray moment

I read today about the necessity of surprise
How it is the unique quality of the present moment
And how embracing one means embracing the other
And here a stray cow greets me with her own little surprising moment
Order will be returned along with she to the right paddock
But for the moment I can pause and ponder and savour her gift
And say these little words of thanks
