Mediterranean Sea Holly
At this time of the year Sea Hollies Eryngium spp. are at their best. We currently have three species in the garden, and I love them all - the whole plants are interestingly structural, the foliage is good and they completely resist snails and slugs, being so prickly. This one is Mediterranean Sea Holly Eryngium bourgatii, which I don't believe has featured in my journal previously.
It was one of only three photographs taken on a day mostly spent report writing, with a a little bit of shopping thrown in. I feel that I'm making progress, though there's still an awful lot to do if I'm to meet my deadline in a fortnight's time!
