Visitor

Up early for the roofers to finish off today. Waited and waited, but no sign.  Daughter called in for a brew. Her hubby collected her later and said the roof looked good (he’s a builder).  Asked if we could borrow a mini digger to scrape off the driveway - I think there was a subdued positive response!  :-))  One of the roofer chaps then turned up to move some of the equipment and seemed embarrassed that his boss hadn’t contacted me.  Childcare issues apparently.  “The boss” turned up sometime later full of apologies.  He had forgotten he had the children today as his wife also has a business! Although he has a big job starting Monday he will come here first to finish off.  Not a problem as the roof is done - just the guttering to finish around the back of the house. I also mentioned the garage doors and he suggested a different solution to replacement which will be much quicker and cheaper and they can paint them as well if I want.  Given how busy he is though it might well be many months before it can be done, but it isn’t urgent.  Blip today is a frequent visitor to the house. This cat calls by most days for a tummy tickle - no idea where it lives, but it can be quite feisty and has had a few run ins with other cats hence one damaged ear!  Very friendly unless it manages to get inside the house and doesn’t want to leave! Afternoon at friend H’s house for coffee now that she has finished her self isolation!
